Beginning 2016-17 School Year
Host School: Scott Elementary
Option 1: Full-Time Enrollment into Scott Elementary School’s Arts Integration Classrooms (Traditional 8-3 schedule with a non-traditional format; students are enriched and engage in 21st Century Skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving and using creativity and imagination.)
Option 2: Scott’s Virtual Program – Full-Time Internet-based homeschool through A+ (K-2) or Odysseyware (grades 3-5). No stepping foot on campus as long as students are keeping with with the online studies.
Option 3: Hybrid Program – Design the student’s educational year to fit his or her needs.
Hybrid students would have many options to choose from; possible educational services in addition to Odysseyware include, but are not limited to:
After school tutoring services
IXL Math and ELA online programs
Istation Math and Reading online programs
Formative Reading and Math Assessments and feedback from the school to help improve instruction from home.
Fine Arts Classes: Drama, Visual Arts, Dance, Chorus
Band (5th grade)
Strings (4th - 5th)
1 or more Brick and Mortar content class or classes of your choosing (math, science, ELA, social studies) Taught through Arts Integration
Under the hybrid model, each student could have a unique schedule based on their specific needs; guidance counseling with the guardians prior to the start of the school year would help determine what services the family would like to take advantage of. Services could be added or taken away as needed throughout the school year!
*All 3 options would require students in grades 3-5 to take the Georgia Milestones Assessments in April.
