Lesson #4: Designing a Parachute
In Lesson 4, students continue to use the Engineering Design Process. They are introduced to two more "real life" criteria that must be addressed by their parachute designs: a size limitation and a maximum drop speed. Students "Imagine" possible parachute designs, and choose one to "Plan" and "Create." Students test their parachutes and analyze the results. Based on their analyses, students "Improve" their designs.
